Kembara Tian Xia

Salam wbt,

Apa khabaq semua? ha...baru boleh menaip sikit. letih memasak baru-baru ni. tak sempat nak update. :D

Anyway, as you all know, sebelum ni aku away sekejap, p program PUISI 2010 dengan tema Kembara Tian Xia. Kalau nak update lebih pasal Kembara Tian Xia ni, boleh la klik link berikut. Kawan aku sorang ni jadi peserta, so dia share la sedikit sebanyak.

On my behalf, aku jugak nak share pengembaraan aku dalam program PUISI 2010 ni.

Kalau aku, sure dah mengomel sana sini sikit sebanyal. haha. Sori ye cik adik. :P

Anyway, memasak memang memerlukan tenaga. Bukan setakat masak, lap dapur, basuh pinggan periuk segala macam benda yang boleh dibasuh. Plus, (sepatutnya) kena bangun awal dan tidur lambat which is very tiring indeed. Mat Rom terpaksa bertolak awal atas sebab2 peribadi. Jadi, setelah beberapa hari di dapur, aku dapat la belajar beberapa perkara especially trick masak nasik manually. Haha, no wonder sebelum ni asyik fail aja. Haha

Artist yang tah apa2 pun cakap Alhamdulillah bila dapat award you know!
So apa beza kita dengan mereka? :)

P/s: rajin2 nanti aku letak a few pic, tu pun kalau ada.

Kesimpulan

Salam wbt dan selamat malam semua,

Aku baru saja habis dengar kuliah online (KuOn) anjuran PPIMI yang disampaikan oleh Ustaz Erfino Johari melalui medium ustream tadi. Alhamdulillah, menarik sekali walaupun aku tertidur sekejap.

Isu menarik la katakan, mesti la nak kongsi ye dak? Tajuk kuliah malam ni adalah "Would You Marry Yourself?".

Yes, it is interesting to watch, tapi we have to reflect either it gives an impression of reality of just a another good story for sell.

2. Belajar betul-betul pasal hukum hakam berkenaan nikah kawin. Aku pun still kena belajar walaupun dah pernah pergi kursus kawin masa tahun satu dulu. Expect problems and learn to deal with it.

Ianya bukan penamat. Kawan aku faris cakap yang ni jugak. :P Yes it is a beginning. Pengalaman aku sendiri, aku tak pernah plan nak ambil lesen motor dulu-dulu. Even masa first time bawak moto kat jalan besar, ketar kot tangan aku. Masa tu lepas SPM dan baru lepas ambik lesen kereta macam tu, lepas tu ayah aku still hantar aku pergi kerja ulang alik naik motor. One day, ayah aku suruh aku drive bawak dia balik which something yang bukannya aku tak pernah buat, cumanya tak pernah di jalan besar dengan kereta-kereta saling memintas kita. Tapi, bila sekali cuba, aku terus rasa ok, and lepas tu, ambik lesen dan dah merempit pun kat Alor Setar tu. Takde la aku lumba, tapi bawak laju-laju. Haha. Adik-adik, jangan ikut perangai ini yeh. Peace!

Gulp
Jangan mudah mengalah walaupun dah banyak kali gagal. Jangan tunggu sahaja kerana jarang orang dapat rezeki jatuh bergolek. Even Prince William dengan Kate pun lama berusaha. Haha, cakap pasal kisah diorang lagi. Kadangkala kita sukakan seseorang tapi malu-malu.

Be realistic and not too demanding. Just look at our parents perhaps or at least my mom and my dad. Hehe.

6. Cop cop tak terpakai (u know what i mean). Kalau nak, sila serius (jumpa family atau wakil urus). Bila bertunang, kurangkan berjumpa/berbual. Ustaz dulu pun cuma berutus surat, tapi kalau sekarang, email boleh ganti la ye dak? Satu lagi, tak perlu umum pada khalayak bila bertunang. Cukup cakap kita dah bertunang, tapi tak perlu dikhabarkan dengan siapa. Tahniah Shedot kerana dah bertunang. ^__^.

Wassalam.
Jom sambung baca cauda equina syndrome O.O

P/s: Tahniah to Ibtisam Ismail dan Ariff Ahmad yang bakal melangsungkan perkahwinan hujung Disember ni. Dua-dua orang ni kawan lama aku masa sekolah rendah. Satu kelas. Dulu depa kena kacau-kacau saja, tapi last-last, kawin sungguh rupanya. Jodoh pertemuan di tangan Allah...another love story insyaAllah turning to reality.

Wikileaks

Today wikileaks is no longer available for access, or probably since yesterday. I'm not quite sure when it was taken down together with thousands of secret documents that the US government hide earlier.

Many of us may not even notice about this as we are either do not care anymore regarding what is happening around us or could also be because we are underinformed. This sorts of story could probably never reach utusan Malaysia (for malaysian) as it has no concern at all about bashing the opposition party and could probably do more harm to the image of the government.

Whistlerblower such as this site is seen as a threat to many people/countries especially leaders around the world with their madness for power. Lots of similar cases also happened in our own country, Malaysia. Altantuya could probably be one of the whistleblower-in-the-making when she was bombed to pieces so thus few others who have to sneak out of the country for their safety because they revealed some "sensitive" informations.

Back to the case of wikileaks, for those who have no clue at all what was recently published there, the site actually released hundreds of thousands of secret document concerning US and their allies around the world. Mostly concerning their diplomats in other countries and also their officers in the UN and so on. All these US agents around the world, when communicating, they would use some coded language so that in case of being intercepted, it would reveal less sensitive information and they also would record all these down. These collection of conversation were kept secret and somehow, someone able to obtain this and sent it to wikileaks for publishing.

Among the few documents that i find a bit shocking was how a king in the middle east asked the US gov. to help destroying the Republic of Iran. Others are like the US agent in UN building are asked to do data mining on expenses of the credit card of other countries representatives including getting their frequent fliers number, US describing the Pakistan as not being able to take care of their own nuclear weapon and there will be time when they have to take control of it, Russia was described as an open mafia state and the prime minister of russia is a batman for the president and a lot other information that i cant recall.

The reason that i find this interesting is that i was looking for something to do with Malaysia and what sort of help that we asked from the US or comment that we get from the US. unfortunately, the site is now was taken down. Initially, amazon.com who hosted the server decided to put an end to the hosting, then a few other big site also did the same kind of boycott thingy and latest was paypal who decided to stop people from donating to the site or something. These actions were taken after a few days of the publishing when the US government itself had to interfere in the hosting of all those information.

The best of all, the founder is now being chased all over the place. I bet he must be finding himself like a killer at the moment because all the police are looking for him. One thing that he promised is that if he is killed, all the documents-which only 1/3 had been released- will be released in full to the public and that may expose even more madness that our leaders has in their mind.

It was very heavy last night.
I went out after a very long conversation with mama on skype for a couple of pictures. Somehow, I heard people screaming from afar enjoying themselves. The only possibility is those who never play with snow yet in their life coz it is 2am in the morning. ^.^
I am absolutely right. When I get closer to the voices, they were actually belong to those juniors in 218. What else could i do but to join them. Haha

The difference

Warning. This entry is very lame. Don't waste your time reading it.

No one is similar. Even if u try to imprint someone from the outside, you'll only end up realizing that you are never going to be the same.
The best is to be yourself and change it naturally. By that, what i mean is that do not change because of someone else. Make sure the intention is pure when decide to change. Hopefully it will be a permanent change towards a much better self.

**********

Back again talking about the story of William and Kate. If you still have no idea who they are, you might wanna read one or two of my previous entry. Yes i know it's kind of lame to take advantage of this famous love story but i definitely find it interesting. Haha.

From one of the docu about them, few persons that got interviewed were saying something like, what make their bond stronger than ever are because of their differences. Weird isn't it. Normally people would look for the similarity rather than the differences. I remember they said that the couple actually have different hobbies and lots of the time they were spending their time alone because William somehow stuck with helicopter as he is one of the search and rescue pilot for the military whereas Kate on the other hand is working in the shop belongs to her family or some sort. Although this may only be true before the engagement because after the announcement, seems like they are busy having interview etc. One thing that both are seems to have passion into is humanitarian works. That's probably why both took history in the beginning although William decided to change into Geography later on during the university life.

I find that there are lots of interesting stuff about their stories that i can learn. The most important is maybe i was amazed by the fact that they endured so much before reaching this stage. Perhaps it motivates me because at one stage I almost give up when it comes to all these love-related things. All those mistakes, I definitely would not repeat them again although it would incur a great cost in my life.

One other thing that i find interesting is, once, Kate is the last person any boy want to date while she is in high school. After seeing her old pic on the tele, i myself would definitely think trice before making decision. Haha. Jahat kn? :P Anyway, as she get older, she evolved into a beautiful lady and with her supportive attitude and of course the look, William finally fall for her. Ups and down, the trials of 8 years together, they finally engaged with the ring belongs to Diana. Yes, the late Princess Diana.

Oh, enough with their love stories. Lots of values could be learn from this fairy tale turned reality.
You must have think if obsess with their love stories, aren't u? I would have not if i don't turn on the TV which almost every night talk about them. haha. One thing for sure, i wont be google their love stories if u were thinking down that road. lol.

Bye...

wasted 0.5/24

P/s:
1. I am waiting as well to witness one other ending of love stories similar to this but could have probably started earlier than university time. May Allah eases your path my friend. :)
2. The blue dress that Kate wore when they first appear on the tele to announce it officially was sold out in many stores according to one of the newspaper that i bumped into today. LOL. I bet if the ring is available on the shop, it could be out of stock as well.
3. Random. Do you think it will work if we have a lot of differences? Could that one or two similarities work best to keep us together?

Raya Haji

Salam wbt,

Harini saja mau kongsi sedikit pengalaman beraya haji tahun ni. Kalau tahun lepas, raya haji rasanya jatuh weekend, so semua orang sempat la beraya dan tak perlu ponteng kelas.

Bermesra selepas solat raya
Lepas saja khutbah, semua orang pun bersalam-salaman dan berpelukan tanda ikatan persaudaraan sesama Islam...walaupun takde la kenal semua orang kat situ pun. :)

Right after solat, Abang Yaiz terus hantar aku ke hospital untuk start rutin harian iaitu ward round...Thanks very much Abang Yaiz. Moga Allah membalas jasa baik abang.

Sekian coretan ringkas pengalaman beraya Aidiladha tahun ni. :)
Wassalam.

Learning and practising

Do not ever give up.

Grab it when u have the chance. At times, you have to be selfish. if u watch KCB, that situation that Ana Althofunnisa talked about might be just one of the example.

I am doing the medicine rotation at the moment. Alhamdulillah, over the past 2 weeks, I get to practice quite a lot of knowledge. Thanks to Allah SWT again. At this rate, I believe the need to practice is as much important as the need to learn new knowledge because that is the essence of a doctor. If u have the knowledge alone and fail to practice, u are nothing. The same with practising something without knowledge.

Even in Islam, if u want to do something, you need to have the knowledge and not just following others without having any basic about that particular something.

The problem is I was a bit unfortunate because the team that I am attached with is not very keen in teaching. Only over the past few days, the consultant seems to pay more attention in teaching me. I was glad to see some changes but i don't know how long will it continues. So, in order to replace the missing hours walking around like zombie following the victim, i joined the doctor on call in the evening. Morning A&E teaching and on call at night is the best part of the learning and practising knowledge so far. Surgical team is no doubt the best teacher so far.

Mullingar
There were few stuff that i did during the on call session which is totally my first time ever such as taking blood and inserting urinary catheter on patients. Thanks to a few doctors (especially Dr. Houd, Dr. Wadi and Dr. Sunday) and nurses who were very helpful in teaching and allow me to steal some of their valuable time.

May Allah bless all your good deeds grant you the best future, here in the world and the hereafter.

"Some people just forgot that they also used to be medical students and they treat medical student like they never gone through it". Dr. Sunday.

oh, i need to revise the anatomy. :p

bye...

halfway

the assignments are halfway done. Just finish uploaded one or two a few minutes ago.
InsyaAllah more to come tomorrow. Due date is this Friday. eh, is it? haha

I went to Bray today for another session of the ATP tutor. Part of the module in the GP rotation. Our group had a new ATP tutor today. A very lovely lady doctor. Very nice to all of us.

I was alone in that one whole train compartment today from Dunloghaire Station to Bray Station. Ashraf may still remember these few places that he got to visit last 2 year. do u realize that Ashraf? It was almost 2 years already since we last me. :) How fast time flies these days.

Oh, talking about time, recently i started to question myself again regarding some of the decision that i made in the past. Not that i regretted but more like a reflection to myself. Among them is kind of allowing myself to be in the position to be hurt AGAIN. Not just that, but i think i even go to the level of suppressing some of the natural feeling (unconsciously) that sometimes i feel such a loser that i can no longer feel that.

I miss something so much, but looking at myself right now, it is just not possible. I just pray that they all went back to normal. Probably because of  a sudden change in priority that i dont even realize about these feelings anymore. Hurm...

enough for another episodes of unplanned short story today.

good night.

P/s: i heard my village got affected by the recent flood that hit Kedah and Perlis plus Jitra is now a new Pantai merdeka. :)

Rotation

Peace be upon you,

How are you guys doing? I hope that everyone is having a good time. Just a quick update for this blog.
I am now on the general practice (GP) rotation. I started with GP, then after this I'll have medicine and surgery follow by psychiatric, paediatrics and finally obstetric and gynecology (OnG).

Each of this rotation is only about 6 weeks long and we only have the weekend of the last rotation as a break before changing to another rotation. Great isn't it? :)
That is medicine anyway

As some of you might have noticed, I stay in a quite luxury hotel in a town called Drogheda which is approximately about 1 hour drive from dublin. This small town had a very unique history of its own.

During the great famine in Ireland, the people from the islamic republic of turkey which at that time is under the ottoman empire had sent ships full with foods in order to help the irish in this town. Today, the local in this town commemorate this by having a black square plate embedded to the front wall in one of the famous bar in the city to thanks the turks at that time.

I'll put the picture later on because I haven't take the picture of that plate yet. I read somewhere earlier about this and finally I can see the proof on my own. I heard that it is the same case when they had their football team using the 'crescent and stars' as the emblem.

However, i am left to wonde whether this is true or not because apparently there is a writing from local newspaper who said those claim are actually a myth and it never happens. All are myths.?? Why is there a plate to tell about this if all are myths? Maybe someone tried to hide something maybe.

So, I think that's it for now. I'm going back there again today. 2 more weeks to enjoy this rotation. Insyallah I'll try to do the quick update as frequent as I can. Really don't want to let this blog into hiatus.
At the same time, please make du'a for me and all of us so that Allah will make it ease for us to continue our journey.

See you guys again.

Wassalam.

The anniversary

Last few days (on 30th Sept of 2010) was the 3rd anniversary of my presence in Dublin.
Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah SWT for giving me this golden opportunity.
The journey that so far has been a very interesting one.

Thanks to all the seniors especially in 218 (Jermz, Ghani, Jhazz, Tun, Abadi, Rizal, Aimi, Eros and Zul) which had helped me so much early in my presence here in this foreign land. For me, they had shown a very good example as seniors. The moment that we share in 218 will always be treasured.

To all friends which keep my spirit alive and give the supports when needed, thanks very much. You guys have been part of a very interesting journey of my life.

first morning in Dublin. 1st october was much colder at that time.
And not to forget to my dad and my mom and also to my siblings, thank a million for all the support and the endless spiritual reminder cum boost which keep me stay strong away from you guys.

The future must have holds a lot more interesting experience. Unknown paths waiting to unfold 1001 stories. A lot have changed and i am quite sure that much more will follow later on. All these experiences will always be remembered. Part of the stories of my life. My journey. The amaranthine.

Watchful waiting

Whatever the outcome might be, there are consequences that follow.
For sure, some might not be easy despite their positiveness or negativeness.
So, the best is to pray that Allah will grant me strength to face whatever that might arise after that and also prepare myself, physically and mentally.

********
Don't get me wrong. I am not waiting for the result of any PSA test or anything to do with prostate cancer or BPH.
It is the action of 'watchful waiting' that i am interested in at the moment which somehow is one of the option for patient with elevated PSA level. ^___^

May i have your attention please?

Follow the instruction in this video.

******

We were shown this video today during one of the introductory lecture. This is a proven experiment, a very famous one (that is why i was not fooled today! Yay...!!) that how sometimes we tend to overlook some stuff just because we are focusing on other thing. Too attentive maybe. i watched this many many times earlier actually. Half of the class actually missed to see the gorilla and they were laughing at themselves afterwards.
This technique has been utilise by many in order to distract people attention when an issue arises. They bring some other thing to surface at the same time while people are trying to focus on one thing thus making the actual problem 'invisible' to many that of cause focusing their attention to the side stuff that going on at the same time.

Funny how we tend to overlook at things that is right in front of our eyes.
so...how many of you guys actually did not see the gorilla thumping his chest on the first view? LOL
Look at the various changes to the actual experiment from youtube and even if you see the gorilla in this video, you will be surprise on things that you may overlooked in the other video. ^___^
Selective attention, that is how human function by default anyway.

Phone casing

I bought a casing for my new phone last week from ebay. The company that I bought it from is from UK. Only after awhile then I realize that it has something like the pic below. I remember someone told me or maybe i read from somewhere that to check if the leather that you use is from pigskin or not, look if they have the 3 dots or some 3 star shape dots that look like a pinholes.

I never thought this thing really is from leather since it cost only 3£. Anyhow since I have a strong doubt about the material, I think I'll stop using it.
Do you gus think it is really from what I think it is?

Amusement

Lets amuse ourself in a nerdy manner by watching collections of nerd-like videos from the famous university of Nottingham. For those who like sciences and bemused by the universe and the science behind the creation of the universe, these videos are probably among the best way to kill your time and of course at the same time, get to increase you knowledge about the universe, quantum physics and the chemistry.

Look how beautiful and intricate Allah has made this earth for us. Let us be thankful and say Alhamdulillah.

this is the video from the first channel and below are the one from 'the sixty symbols'

Ketinggalan

Banyak isu semasa yang berlaku baru-baru ni. Yang mendapat liputan meluas. Ada isu lokal dan ada isu dunia.
Aku malas nak mengulas kah?
Tapi, some of it worth mentioning it sebab it can open a lot of half-sleepy eyes out there.

1. Quran Burning Day.

This one is very popular even got the attention of Barrack O'bama which somehow has a muslim background in his family (they said his grandma sat on the stage during his inauguration ceremony wearing burqa/niqab). May Allah give him guidance (boleh ke x doa nih? ^__^)

This issue actually brought into attention by one pastor from a small church (hardcore group) in Florida. Here, we can see how the media actually play a big role in influencing something. If it were not brought to attention by media chain (facebook group and tv news), i believe that no one would really care because all these time, these sort of event does happen. Even in Malaysia! Still remember about those black metal that do all those disrespect things towards the quran back in early 2000. Do you guys think that sort of thing stopped right after it was exposed?
Okay, let us all assume that it stop. But do most of us (muslim especially) really respect the Quran in a way it should be? What about implementing basic things in Quran in our life? Do we really do it? Ask yourself?
I don't say that you should not be angry when someone do that to the Quran, but then again, let us look at ourself first before we go and hate what others that doesn't even believe in Quran do!

2. New sultan
Allahuakbar! God is the Greatest!
Kelantanese are happy people nowadays. They just got their new Sultan. Hopefully Your Majesty could help bring changes in our society. I heard this new Sultan is very down to earth kind of guy. Glad to hear that. It is a rarity nowadays. The elite don't normally know who did all the works for them. Hopefully this Sultan is a new generation of sultan that could help bring Malaysia towards a better place to live.
Hundred years ago, sultan is a very powerful people. They get all the respect that people can imagine in the society. Even in the history of the early settlement of Malacca, once the Sultan embrace Islam, it was thought that the whole people actually embrace Islam. Same stories also applies for most of the earliest civilisation. Once the king/sultan embrace a religion, everyone would/have to change to that religion. Unfortunately because they lead for too long, some of them misuse this and bring disaster to the people and came Dr. Mahathir Mohamed during our time to save us. So they were no longer has too many power in them and no longer invisible to the law.
The changes that took place reduce their (Sultans) importance in the society. They are now only seen as a symbol of the guardian of Islam and the culture. At one stage, one of my friend ask me "why do we need sultan? why do we pay him (tax) to live that luxurious life? They are of no importance to us! I think we should abolish the sultanate in Malaysia". I am totally clueless at that time because there are some degree of truth in it.
So why do u guys think that we need sultan nowadays? ^___^

3. The Turks Story.
Does anyone know what happened in Turkey recently? See how politics works?
U don't jump into power and straight away change everything because that would create havoc! Bit by bit  and they actually did it. Congratulation to Mr. Erdogan. Although he is seen by many people in Turkey as a religious guy (unfortunately the turks do not like that), the secular society of Turkey still vote in favour of changing the constitution.
Educating the people (millions) is not easy. Even after you got majority of people schooled, some of then still do not understand one issue as one! As the saying goes, not all blonde is stupid! LOL. This is when politics plays an important role. Politics is an art of governing people. The same reason also allow us to have our 1Malaysia. Unfortunately, because of the incoherent that happens in implementing it, 1Malaysia seems about to fail. BIG TIME
I am not happy because i know a lot of money had been used to make billboards, adds, button badge and everything that you can name to help spread the idea. No one should be blame other than the gov. themself that failed to planned it properly even after they got the best help from APCO.
So, from this, what we can learn is that it is a good thing to try to unite everyone but you must know the base for that. If it were only for people to support you, you are making a big mistake because in the end, truth always win although it may takes hundreds years for that to happen!

4. Other issues that you might want to check regularly because of the ongoing problem are about the Palestine, and also the flood in Pakistan. I would have to be newscaster if i were to write about it. Hehe. InsyaAllah everyone knows what happened right? Please continue to ease the burden of our brothers over there. A lot of channel could be use to do that. Here are some of them. Muslim Aid and Islamic-relief

So, i think i should stop before i bored more people. Haha. Anyway, the conclusion is, to not to be left behind, please do read news everyday. AVOID TV3, TV2 and TV1 if it is about Malaysian politics. ROFL. You surely do not want to be someone who only works to full his own stomach and never think about other right?

P/s: Resident Evil Afterlife 3D Rocks! ^___^. Can't wait for the next movie. Oh...rumah masih berselerak.
