As we are in the best month of the year, so let us help ourself becoming the "he who has cleansed his soul" as describe in the sacred verse from Al-Quran above. It is already the second half of the Ramadhan and very sure most people are looking for the Eid which will be celebrated in no time.
However, let us bear in mind that the promised Lailatul Qadr is within the last 10 nights of this Ramadhan and so thus the Nuzul Quran which is in the second half of this month (isn't it today?). Lets us do more good deeds and strive for the once in a year opportunity to gain the best reward in the hereafter.
Use the given time to ask for forgiveness over our past sins, for the good reward in the akhirah and also for the blessing from Allah. Read more Al-Quran and insyaAllah do more qiam in the night.
In one of the hadith, Rasulullah mentioned that the heart is like iron, it become rusted and the way to remove it is through the recitation of Al-Quran.
In another hadith narrated by ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
So let us read more of this divine book and be rewarded for our action insyaAllah.

Harini (11/08/2010) mula posa di kebanyakan tempat termasuk di Dublin.
Posa tahun ini lebih mencabar kerana jatuh pada 11 Ogos dimana siangnya masih panjang (17 JAM!) kerana masih dalam cuaca musim panas (walaupun banyak hujan dan mendung musim sejuk). Dublin oh Dublin.
Sekarang ni baru mula posa beberapa jam. So far semua okay lagi, perut saja yang dah grumbling. Huhu. Aku sendiri pun macam belum pernah posa terlalu lama. Harapnya semua okay lah. Ya Allah, engkau jauhilah En. perut, dari berbuat onar terhadap diri yang lemah ini. Amin...
Tahun lepas, walaupun posa kat sini, waktu berbuka dah agak awal sedikit. Walau macam mana pun Alhamdulillah...tahun ni, dekat-dekat sebulan, masa posa makin pendek selama hampir dua jam!! Phew. 'O_O
Soq (sahur) pagi tadi cuma sempat makan roti paratha (ala-ala roti canai) separuh dan ayaq melo (milo) beserta ayaq sejuk secawan.

AMARAN: Entri ini sengaja ditulis dalam loghat utara, bahasa pasar, manglish dan agak panjang. Jangan baca kalau mudah bosan atau tengah bad mood.
Hah, apa pulak kali ni yang aku nak merepek kali ni. Sapa tau apa maksud hemoi? Takyah la pi google dalam dictionary.com pulak. Confirm takdak. Ini bukan english word. Tak ramai mungkin yang paham maksud perkataan ni. Budak-budak utagha macam Ahmad Faris, Faiz Fauzi, Shedot, Tisam dan lain-lain mungkin la tau. Ka hampa pun taktau? Kalau taktau gak, maybe perkataan ni digunakan secara lokal saja la kot oleh keluarga aku dan orang-orang kampung yang aku pernah dengaq depa sebut. hehe.
Oh, sebelum tu mai kita tengok macam mana nak sebut perkataan ni. Sebut dia bukan her-moi, tapi hair-moi. Kalau dulu belajar nak sebut perkataan dalam bahasa melayu kat tadika ka PASTI ka mana-mana ka, kan dulu ada belajar sebut untuk huruf 'H' ha hi hu he he ho. Ha...kita ambik 'he' yang first tu. Moi tu sebut macam besa ja, moi jugak.
Ok, sekarang kita tengok apa definisi hemoi ni kalau ikut dictionary Kedah-Kamus Dewan.
Hemoi ni maksud dia....kita tengok contoh penggunaan dulu eh? boleh? (ayat di sebelah tidak membawa maksud kata hemoi tu!)
Situasi 1: Amran pi cari kerja. Dia susah. Hidup melarat. Kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang. Anak-anak ada 3 4 orang. Dengan hemoinya dia pi jumpa tokey kilang beras yang dia pun tak kenal. "Boss, ada kerja kosong dak? Saya nak jamu (beri) anak-anak saya makan, kesian depa. Saya takdak duit, kerja pun takdak boss. ada kerja kosong tak boss? Kalau takdak pun, saya nak pinjam seploh (10) boleh?"
Situasi 2: Satu pagi di dalam kelas. Cikgu murni (sebab nama ni selalu dengaq dulu-dulu masa tengok cerita lama-lama) tengah ajaq bahasa melayu. Tiba-tiba satu kelas bising. ada bau sesuatu. Ada orang melepas dalam kelas rupanya.... Cikgu Murni toleh belakang dan tanya "Sapa punya kerja ni ha?" Dengan relaxnya ada budak yang duduk kat tengah-tengah kelas tu angkat tangan seraya berkata "saya cikgu!" Cikgu murni yang juga tau macam mana nak guna perkataan hemoi ni lalu bekata "Awatla awak ni hemoi sangat....?" Semua orang pun senyum saja. haha.
Dah dapat tangkap ka maksud hemoi ni? kalau belum jom tengok lagi satu. [hint: hemoi adalah satu bentuk perbuatan dan perasaan (kombinasi)]
Situasi 3: Lutfi seorang pelajar yang macam au au sikit dalam kelas 4M. Budak-budak laki lain dalam kelas tu tak campoq sangat dengan dia. Ditakdirkan suatu petang ada perlawanan bola sepak antara kelas 4I dan 4M. Kelas 4M tak cukup player lagi, sebab budak laki dalam kelas tu tak ramai. Dalam duk kalut-kalut cari sapa nak main lagi petang tu, Lutfi tiba-tiba menebalkan muka seraya berkata "saya nak main sama boleh?". "hemoi gila budak ni" tiba-tiba Abu yang memang tak sebulu dengan Lutfi bersuara.
Ha...cukup ah, dah banyak contoh dah tu. Dalam situasi 3 tu ada maksud perkataan hemoi tu seniri. Mungkin susah nak tangkap la kot. haha. Tak pandai nak cerita. ^__^ Ok la, bagitau la mudah... nanti lagi bosan nak baca sampai habis. ^O^
Maksud hemoi ialah meminta-minta sambil menebalkan muka...mengurangkan rasa malu...merendah diri dan seangkatan dengannya...paham? Pepatah melayu lain yang membawa maksud yang sama aku rasa ialah macam perigi cari timba (padahal tak salah pun, tapi adat me-layu...nak buat macam mana). Negatif sungguh kan definisi hemoi ni. huhu. Ada definisi lain ka dak ni?
Bagus ka dak individu hemoi ni? Mai kita tengok.
Dalam hidup ni, mau tak mau ada situasi kita kena jadi macam Lutfi dan Amran. Budak yang dalam situasi dua tu toksah la jadi pulak, dia tu mungkin jujur sangat kot. haha. Naif. situasi tu pun mungkin kurang tepat, tapi layan jelah.
Seperti yang semua tau, dalam hidup ni tak semuanya berpihak kepada kita. Tak semua benda datang bergolek, berlari apatah lagi memandu kepada kita. Tak semua dikurniakan rezeki datang tanpa usaha. Orang main judi pun kena p beli tiket judi (isu sensitif, jadi kena cross). Ada yang perlu kita kejar dan berusaha untuk dapatkannya. Kata 'hemoi' ni selalunya sesuai digunakan untuk describe orang yang meminta sesuatu walaupun dia tak ditawarkan perkara tersebut. Contoh lain macam orang yang tak layak masuk ke sekolah asrama ka apa ka sebab dia tak lepas saringan kemasukan, tapi dia guna pintu belakang untuk masuk. Contoh lain yang positif sikit ialah dia ni tak la pandai sangat buat kerja, tapi dia offer diri jadi ketua untuk lead sesuatu projek.
Contoh lain yang dekat dengan aku ialah ketika belajar di hospital Kalau tak jadi hemoi dan tak pi jumpa patient, maka tak dapat la nak praktis cara ambik history/her-story dengan pesakit-pesakit. Nanti dalam exam sapa yang susah? Aku... jugak yang susah. Mama pun selalu pesan supaya jadi hemoi sikit terutama bila nak belajar. Rajin pi jumpa lecturer ka bila tak paham, senior ka sapa-sapa ka. So dalam kata lain, hemoi ni jugak boleh didefinisikan sebagai proaktif...setuju dak? Kalau tak setuju ikut la. Tak paksa pun. Hidup ni kalau kena paksa-paksa bukan seronok sangat. Buat benda mudah pun kalau kena paksa sure tension. Apatah lagi benda-benda besaq, mesti lagi tension. Kena kahwin paksa, padahal tak suka pun. tension dak? Jadi ikhlaskanlah hati. Hah, mana pulak melarat ni. back to the topic. ^___^
Aplikasi menjadi seorang yang hemoi ni sangatlah luas. Sejauh saujana mata memandang...Dari mencari ilmu sampai la sebesaq-besaq benda macam beribadah dan kawin (pun satu ibadah kalau niat betul). Ha, ke sini semula pulak tiba-tiba. Cukup takat tu, takmau ulas panjang. Paham-paham seniri la no huraian dia.
"Barangsiapa menikahi perempuan hanya kerana kemuliannya, Allah tidak akan menambahkan kepadanya kecuali kehinaan.
Barangsiapa menikahi seorang perempuan hanya kerana hartanya, Allah tidak akan menambah kepadanya kecuali kefakiran.

Tak percaya ka dalam ibadah pun kena jadi hemoi? Cuba bayangkan kalau diri anda seorang yang baloq (pemalas) untuk beribadah, tak ka rugi tu? So kena la jadi proaktif dalam beribadah. Rajin-rajinkan diri pi masjid ka (cakap untuk diri sendiri), rajin sedekah ka...rajin posa ka...baca dan faham maksud ayat-ayat Quran ka...banyak la pendek katanya. Kalau jenis duk rasa diri hebat, tak pernah hemoi dengan Allah swt, tu yang duk jadi sombong tak ingat dunia tu. Jadi insensitive dengan dosa dan sebagainya. Kenapa dengan Allah pun kena hemoi? Allah kan Maha Pencipta, kita ni hamba saja! Hamba woi, hamba! Ingat tu!. So dah hamba, buat la cara hamba, kena la sentiasa meminta-minta. Ada pahem? Cukup-cukup la sombong dengan manusia, tak jadi hemoi dengan manusia tak rugi sangat. Tapi kalau tak hemoi dengan Allah, hm...taktau la. Syurga tu milik Allah. Boleh ka nak buat hemoi mintak masuk kalau dah mati nanti padahal kat dunia dulu hidup tak pernah ikut syariat? Lu pikiaq la sendiri. Ok?
So...takat tu sajalah dulu. Saja nak kongsi pasai hemoi ni. Moga-moga boleh dijadikan pengajaran buat yang membaca. Kalau dah baca tu, lepas ni boleh la kongsi-kongsi dengan kawan-kawan. Aplikasikan rasa hemoi ni dalam kehidupan seharian. Baru la hidup sentiasa merendah diri. Kalau orang tak pandang pun takdak la kecewa menonggeng. kan kan? :)
Dua tiga hari ni down sikit. Taktau la pasai apa. Tapi tak sampai la kecewa menonggeng. Pasai tu nak kongsi supaya dapat release sket dan hampa semua dapat ambik sedikit sebanyak pengajaran. huhu. ok la. selamat pagi untuk semua. Dah nak subuh. mau sambung buat benda lain pulak.

2. Tahniah juga buat Dr. Syafiq yang baru fresh graduate dari RCSI yang bakal melangsungkan perkahwinan bulan 6 ni. Barakallahulakuma wabaraka 'alaikuma wajama'a bainakuma fi qair. I am happy for u.
3. Happy birthday untuk kawan aku Yunus Shaharuddin yang menyambut birthday ke 23 hari ni. Balik JB eh? haha, enjoy la yer.

I'm on holiday mood at the moment. Just finish the exam last Wednesday. The exam somehow didn't went very well. Honestly, I'm just hoping to pass this exam so that i don't have to repeat any paper next semester. I heard that the repeat exam will be before the IC3 exam because student that didn't pass the IC2 exam will not be allowed to take the IC3 exam a.k.a OSCEs. Hopefully i'm lucky enough to escape this threat.
A lot of things is happening and had happened for the last couple of weeks. The election for the new PPIMI Exco is done but the result somehow is still pending due to the presence of 'ghost-voters' which is a bit surprising. from what i know, all these people are actually people that try to mess with the online election system. They don't even register as a legal member of PPIMI and yet try to vote and act cool using their old ID. Worse, some even put stupid names on the ID box like 'hantu' and continue to vote. These people should be ashamed of themself. I hope that they are not the students here in Ireland because if they are, i hope that they know that their action justified their 3rd world class citizen mentality!
Enough with the pending result of the election. lets move on. HOLIDAY!! ^___^
My class only will be starting at 22nd Feb. It'll be surgery in Beaumont Hospital. I'm still trying to figure out how am i gonna reach Beaumont before 7 a.m after this. =O.o= .
So before that, i'm on holiday. One full month of them. Somehow, i may stay around Ireland only if my holiday plans didn't work well. I'm considering to fly to Malta at the moment. The place sounds interesting enough but travelling alone... :(
Everyone else is either preparing for their class next week or already travel somewhere else. Those that did not go anywhere else also only plan to stay and do revision. Not that i didn't want to do it but i think i wanna enjoy myself a bit and after that, start fresh again. haha.
So as to compensate my holiday plan that may not work, today i'll be going to Cork. A small city in south of island of Ireland. haha. Some of my friends there are also on holiday. I think i can spend some time travelling around with them rather that going somewhere else alone. Not a pleasant experience tho. 2-3 days in cork should be better than travelling alone to Malta if i may still go.
Thats all for now, dont forget to make du'a for me and pray that Allah will ease my unpredictable journey in this world.
As a human, we only plan and yet, HE is the All-Planner.
From HIM that we come and to HIM we will return.

Dari Nukman bin Basyir, katanya ‘Suatu ketika kami sedang duduk2 di Masjid Nabawi dan Basyir itu seorang yg tidak banyak bercakap.
Datanglah Abu Saklabah lalu berkata ” Wahai Basyir bin Saad, adakah kamu hafaz hadis Rasulullah tentang para pemerintah?’
Huzaifah RA lalu segera menjawab.” Aku hafaz akan khutbah Rasulullah SAW itu.” Maka duduklah Abu Saklabah Al Khusyna untuk mendengar hadis berkenaan.
Maka kata Huzaifah RA, Rasulullah SAW telah bersabda:
“Telah berlaku Zaman Kenabian ke atas kamu, maka berlakulah Zaman Kenabian sebagaimana yang Allah kehendaki. Kemudian Allah mengangkat zaman itu seperti yg Dia kehendaki.”
Kemudian belakulah zaman Kekhalifahan (Khulafaur Rasyidin) yang berjalan sepertimana Zaman Kenabian. Maka berlakulah zaman itu sebagaimana yang Allah kehendaki. Kemudian Allah mengangkatnya.
Lalu berlakulah zaman pemerintahan yang mengigit (malikun a’adhun) Berlakulah zaman itu seperti yang Allah kehendaki. Kemudian Allah mengangkatnya pula.
Kemudian berlakulah zaman penindasan dan zaman penzaliman (malikun jabbar) dan berlakulah zaman itu seperti mana yang Allah kehendaki.
Kemudian berlakulah pula zaman kekhalifahan (Imam Mahdi dan Nabi Isa as ) yang berjalan di atas cara hidup Zaman Kenabian.”
Kemudian Rasulullah SAW pun diam.
Hadis ini diriwayatkan oleh Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal di dalam kitabnya Musnad Al Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, Juzuk 4, halaman 273. Juga terdapat dalam kitab As-Silsilatus Sahihah, Jilid 1, hadis nombor 5.

Engagement

Good morning and Peace be upon everyone,
Intriguing is it the title for this time? ^^
just would like to bring the attention of everyone to this topic since this summer i found out that a few of my friends already gone thru this process of engagement. not to mention, a few that already tied the knot. Praise to Allah SWT for making their dua' approved. May their marriage last as long as they still breath the air of the earth. Those in turn at the moment, i pray that u guys also got the best of the marriage and be bestowed by Allah SWT with HIS blessing.

1st case.
Here is the thing. from my understanding, the actual engagement is suppose to be the taa'ruf (get to know the fiancee aka future husband/wife) and it is should be as low profile (forgive me for the lack of vocabs here) as possible. The only people that should know is the family i suppose. The ring that a girl wear is only a sign that she is no longer available at the moment since someone is seriously considering to make her their future life partner and they are in a process of getting to know each other better. So, in case of anything unexpected suddenly happen during the engagement process and the couple find that they are not suitable for each other, it is permissable to break the engagement (with full of respect). So, since 'no one knows' about the engagement, it suppose not to cause any humiliation for any of the parties.
2nd case.
On the other hand, what is widely practice knowadays is totally different from my understanding. Engagement for most people is a step closer to tie the knot. Somehow it is no longer a process of getting-to-know-your-fiancee since it is futher preceded with the taa'ruf which had been lasting probably for years. Getting engage is almost as a certain promise of 'i will make u my lifelong partner and not going to re-consider it anymore since i already know you' (for perhaps years). The only thing that cohere with the classic engagement is the engagement ring. Letting the public know that they engaged somehow for me is totally their call [Considering that they have calculate all the probability of a disaster along the way]. about the grand engagement function etc. leave it for the moment as that can be just a way to announce the process.

Here are the few thing that i find quite, amusing maybe for some of us and me especially.
1. What are the odd of someone who u dont really know to propose and get to know u more during the engagement if this is the case? -refer to the 2nd case- If your excuse always been 'i dont know u. so, how am i gonna get married with u' and u reject him straight away, how the heck is the first case ever gonna happen? (i thought this is when the engagement plays it roles and allow both the fiancee to know each other.)
2. I find it rather difficult to find classic example of engagement in actual practice since people tend to choose the 2nd option which assuming that the engagement is a little step away from becoming husband and wife. Thinking again, it is actually true because in both cases (1 and 2) it is a little step away from marriage but in the 1st case, u have the choice to take a step back and not harming (humiliating) anyone unlike the 2nd one which i think might cause a lot of humuliation for the girl since public is well aware of her status. How about u guys or is it really outdated and not suitable for the moment that we are living now?
3. A guy may manipulate the opportunity on a girl during the engagement as he can withdraw at any moment he want. This may be true. Unfortunately, this is totally depends on the seriousness of the proposal. This then goes back to the responsibility of the proposer as a human being to take full responsibility on his/her action. It should also be difficult for a guy/girl to propose and withdraw as many time as he/she wishes since the process involve family too. unless if the parents aren't responsible to0, this may happen in actual life. (O.o)
4. if u think u are traditional, why making fuss using middleman or whatever u wanna call it if your excuse would still be 'i dont know that guy/girl and i dont like him/her'? Why cant u decide only later after u got engage (exclusively for the classic example so that no one got humiliated)? *.*
5. Is it necessary for one who got the proposal ask his/her friends about the proposer? i guess no way one can resist the curiosity of getting to know others especially the one that come out with the proposal. ^^

2. i though that buried deep the cut months ago. unfortunately it surfaced naturally when looking at those who got engaged recently. Im happy for you guys but at the same time it bleeds inside. silently.

4. Just got email from smart telecom about getting flagged coz unfortunately downloaded lots of crap movie recently. lol
5. This is not an entry to say anyone wrong or right, but totally based on my curiosity since i maybe a little traditional. o.O perhaps it may also help me to follow the right path as shown by the prophet Muhammad PBUH.
6. Someone told me this evening that Rasullullah left Muaz bin Jabal RA a dua' which he ask Muaz to always practice it (more or less). here how it sounds, 'Allahumma inni a'la zikrika, wa shukrika, wahusnil ibadatik.' Sound familiar rite? but do u know the story behind this word from Rasulullah?

"Sebelum kedua-kedua kaki anak Adam (manusia) tergelincir untuk dimasukkan dalam syurga atau pun neraka, maka dia akan ditanya dengan empat perkara: Waktu remajanya apa yang telah dia habiskan, seluruh umurnya apa yang telah dibuat (untuk kebaikan dirinya), tentang hartanya daripada mana sumber ia diperolehi dan bagaimana pula ia dibelanjakan, tentang ilmunya, apa yang telah dia lakukan." (Hadis riwayat Mu'az Bin Jabal).
